Quick learner by applying skills in practice

For the past three months, Yousef has been taking Dutch lessons and is making great progress. Our conversation was conducted largely in Dutch. While he’s not fluent yet, we managed to communicate effectively through short sentences and gestures. Yousef is a quick learner, as demonstrated by how he became fluent in Turkish in a short period of time.

Yousef doesn’t have a formal education. As soon as he was able to work, he joined his family’s business at a fishing vessel, where he gained experience operating a crane and welding. During his time in Turkey, he worked mainly in the tourism industry, simply because he couldn’t find opportunities that matched his previous experience and ambitions.

Future plans

Yousef is eager to take advantage of the opportunities the Netherlands offers to prove himself, learn a trade, and develop his skills. With his enthusiasm and willingness to learn, we are confident that a successful technical career lies ahead for him.
