Jihed is an experienced and motivated maritime professional with 14 years at sea, including six years as captain of a 32-meter deep-sea fishing vessel. He has extensive expertise in navigation, safety, crew management, and daily ship operations. Working in international and multicultural environments has strengthened his leadership, communication skills, and team-oriented mindset.
After completing higher technical education in the maritime fisheries sector, Jihed began his career in 2012 as a crew member, a mandatory step in Tunisia before advancing to captain. Since 2017, he has served as captain, taking full responsibility for navigation, safety, crew management, and day-to-day operations on board his vessel, continuing in this role until early 2026. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated strong leadership, a responsible work ethic, and a focus on operational efficiency and safety.
Jihed is fluent in Arabic and French, has a good command of English, and is currently learning Dutch (A1 level). He is open to both entry-level maritime positions. He is highly motivated to further develop his skills and is willing to obtain additional certifications or training as needed.
Jihed is available immediately and flexible regarding work hours. For commuting, he relies on public transport and cycling, with occasional support from his partner’s car when required. Dedicated, reliable, and family-oriented, Jihed is committed to building a stable future in the Netherlands while contributing his extensive maritime experience to any organization.
