Transport Planner

What the job entails

The job as a Transport Planner at this company will be extremely versatile: not one day is the same and a variety of tasks will be your responsibility! A real logistic challenge that you will be taking on together with  group of motivated and enthusiastic colleagues. Daily tasks can include:

  • receiving, verifying, and confirming customer orders (including processing them in the system);
  • booking transportation assignments with carriers and ensuring timely deliveries;
  • informing customers about customs clearance and, if necessary, sending proforma invoices with freight documents;
  • providing necessary information and documents to the customs office for clearing shipments;
  • identifying discrepancies in customer orders and discussing them with supervisors and/or customers;
  • scheduling and confirming loading times with carriers/customers and creating gate lists for porters and loaders based on this information.

What you should bring to the table

If you are interested in applying for a position as a Transport Planner at this innovative company, the following qualifications will be necessary.

  • you should have completed MBO or HBO education, preferably in an administrative or logistics field;
  • have experience and knowledge of logistics processes;
  • be familiar with common office applications such as MS Office;
  • you must have own transportation as public transportation is not accessible.
