As a Computer Controlled Welding Operator, you hold a crucial role in the production process, managing the machines and overseeing the welding of steel plates -some as long as 27 meters- into long plates that are eventually rolled into casings.
What will you do? As a Computer Controlled Welding Operator, your responsibilities include creating welding connections using semi-automatic welding machines, adhering meticulously to the relevant welding procedures (WPS). You are accountable for the proper setup and operation of the machines. Regular maintenance of production machines and other equipment is part of your duties to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
Ensuring the quality of the welded casings is a crucial task. You conduct checks and tests at the front-end of production to ensure the program applies the correct operations. This ensures that the massive steel foundations meet required specifications and the highest quality standards. Additionally, you report production data and document all relevant information.
Safety is most important in the production process. You ensure that all tasks are performed correctly according to regulations and guidelines, remaining vigilant for potential hazards and taking measures to minimize risks.
Who are you?
You have a passion for metal, with welding experience being a plus;
possession of a valid VCA Basic certificate in English or Dutch, or willing to obtain one;
proficiency in operating an overhead crane is an advantage;
you speak the English OR Dutch language at B1 level;
responsible with attention to detail;
you live in the area of Rotterdam;
willing to work in our 3-shift system.
