As a welder, you independently weld pipelines and constructions from a drawing to a finished product. This requires special skills and it’s true craftsmanship. You work in the hall of the company in Krimpen aan den IJssel. Occasionally, you have to perform the welding work on-site of the clients. Every project is different, and that makes this opportunity very diverse, where no day is the same.
The following tasks will be part of your job: You independently weld pipelines, constructions, platforms, and skids based on procedures. You start your work by reviewing the welding procedure. Based on this information and the instructions from the welding foreman, you select the correct wire and set up the welding machine according to the regulations. You weld in different positions and clean the weld once you're finished. Finally, you perform the visual inspection of the welds you have laid. Additionally, the following tasks are involved:
You perform welding work according to different methods and procedures on various types of steel.
You inform your foreman about the progress and quality of the work and ensure that the welding numbers and data are recorded on your workpiece.
Throughout all these tasks, you pay attention to your own safety and the safety of your colleagues.
Do you have:
a familiarity to welding symbols, dimensional and form tolerances and welding specifications are familiar to you;
the skills to accurately read and follow a WPS (Welding Procedure Specification);
the proficiency of welding in difficult physical positions/environments if necessary;
the qualifications to be a welder at level 3 or 4 in Mig/Mag and/or GTAW and have the appropriate certifications (preferably in stainless steel and carbon steel);
the communication skills in the English language at B1 level?
