As a Transport Operator, you play a crucial role in managing material flows and processing residual streams, making a significant contribution to the energy transition. The company you will be working at is one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

Using a forklift and various cranes, such as overhead cranes, you will move and process materials. You have a crucial role in the hall, ensuring that others have the right materials and that everything runs smoothly. You look ahead and are willing to make decisions. The process runs smoothly because you always have an overview of what is happening around you. Thanks to your initiatives, the welder has his materials on time, and the hulls are in the right place. As a Transport Operator, you have a responsible job where you work independently.

• You unload and transport hulls and other materials using an overhead crane/magnet crane according to lifting plans;
• you scan hulls and register the check-in of plates;
• you perform visual checks on the lifting equipment;
• you unload push barges and load AGVs in the inlet harbor;
• you move hulls, welding aids, and materials;
• using a forklift, you separate waste and ensure its disposal.

Do you have:

• a VCA Basic certificate in Dutch or English, or are willing to obtain one;
• to be decisive and take initiative;
• a crane/lifting (TCVC) certificate or willing to obtain one;
• a forklift certificate or willing to obtain one;
• willing to work in a 3-shift system (06.00-15.00 / 15.00-23.00 / 23.00-06.00)
