Field Application Engineer

BE THE BRIDGE BETWEEN TECHNOLOGY AND CUSTOMER SUCCESS!

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is the liaison between the company's technical teams and customers. In this role, the FAE provides technical support, conducts product demonstrations and guides customers through the successful integration and application of the company's solutions. Through in-depth product knowledge, problem-solving assistance and expert advice, the FAE contributes to optimal customer satisfaction.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

  • provide first-level technical support in setting up, installing and using products via email, phone, video or remote tools such as TeamViewer;
  • escalate complex cases to the product management team or HQ FAE when additional support is needed;
  • assist in developing Knowledge Base articles, FAQs, and technical documentation with the PM team;
  • handle RMA/DOA requests, including product reception, failure diagnosis, and necessary repairs;
  • ensure timely return of repaired products and keep customers informed with proper documentation and shipping updates;
  • report recurring product failures to the PM team for further analysis.
 

Do you have:

  • solid knowledge of hardware-software integration;
  • practical experience with troubleshooting tools, electronic design, or real-time systems;
  • expertise in coding languages like C, C++, Python, or equivalent;
  • background in communication interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, TCP/IP);
  • understanding of PCB layout and simulation tools is beneficial;
  • exposure to edge computing, IoT, or machine learning technologies is a plus.

    And are you:
  • serve as a technical advisor for clients, providing support and resolving technical issues;
  • collaborate with internal teams to enhance solutions and ensure client satisfaction;
  • identify client requirements and support business expansion by building strong relationships;
  • stay adaptable to new advancements in the field.

 

What to expect?

  • salary starting at €2.438,40 per month;
  • fulltime employment;
  • holiday allowance of 8%;
  • a nice office at Rotterdam centre.
