We are looking for an Marine Repair Technician to join a ship repair company operating in the Port of Rotterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities on board various types of vessels. The work includes the repair and revision of ship engines, mechanical systems, steel and welding constructions, and other technical installations. This is a broad technical position in which no two projects are the same.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
- Carry out repair, maintenance, and overhaul work on ships and marine equipment;
- inspect, dismantle, revise, and reassemble ship engines and mechanical installations;
- repair and maintain steel structures and welding constructions;
- diagnose and solve technical and mechanical problems on board vessels;
- perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of ship systems;
- work closely with colleagues and other technical specialists on various projects;
- follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
Do you have:
- A maritime, mechanical, or technical educational background;
- previous experience in ship repair, ship maintenance, or the maritime industry;
- hands-on experience with ship engines, mechanical systems, and technical installations;
- experience with repair and overhaul activities on vessels;
- technical insight and strong problem-solving skills;
- ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- good command of the English language;
- Willingness to work on different projects in other fields or services.
