Ahmed is a social and motivated young man with an international background in the energy sector. He is married and proud father of a four-month-old daughter. Over 3.5 years ago, he came to the Netherlands on his own and has lived in different places during that time (Ter Apel, Apeldoorn, Utrecht and now Delft). During this period, he first arranged his residence status and then found housing, which shows his perseverance and independence.
He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from a university in Istanbul (graduating in 2020). At the time, he was selected for a prestigious scholarship based on his excellent study results. In September 2023, he started a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies, which he is pursuing until September 2024. His ambition is to develop further within the oil and gas sector, in which he wants to use and expand his technical knowledge.
Ahmed is fluent in Arabic (mother tongue), Turkish and English. His Dutch is at B1 level, and he is actively working on further improvement. He is highly communicative, eager to learn and enjoys working in a team as well as independently. Colleagues describe him as sociable, motivating, reliable and result-oriented. He functions well under pressure and knows how to meet his deadlines without compromising on quality.
Available full-time and is looking for an engineer position in which he can further develop and grow. He has his own car and is willing to travel up to 45 minutes for work. His family lives mostly in Yemen, but one of his brothers also lives in the Netherlands. As for salary indication, he is open to discussion, depending on the position and responsibilities.
