We are looking for an independent Customs Declarant to join the team at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. In this full-time position (40 hours per week), you will be jointly responsible for the safe and honest handling of goods, identifying and reporting any customs irregularities to your manager. Your main tasks will consist of clearing goods that are transported by container and archiving them in accordance with AEO conditions. In addition, you recognize yourself as reliable and meticulous and you are the internal (and possibly external) point of contact for customs formalities.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

• Identifying irregularities in customs matters and reporting them to management; 
• clearing goods that are transported by container;
• serving as both an internal and external point of contact for customs formalities;
• processing administration and archiving in accordance with AEO conditions;
• applying basic knowledge of shipping, transport, and logistics.

Do you have:

• You are available full-time;
• you have experience with the MS Office system;
• Demonstrable work experience and knowledge of customs legislation;
• you work accurately and have an eye for detail;
• good command of Dutch and/or English.
