Sales Engineer

MOVING FORWARD IN A COMMERCIAL TECHNICAL ROLE?

A Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the offer stage, handling the engineering aspects and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) or Sales Manager (SM). This position blends technical expertise with sales skills to provide guidance and support across a range of products. The focus of the role varies based on the level of technical knowledge required to market a specific system, product, or service.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the maritime, offshore, port, and terminal industries;
  • provide technical expertise to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of our products;
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners;
  • collaborate with the engineering and service teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements;
  • prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations;
  • negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximize sales and profitability;
  • analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and improvements;
  • represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Do you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or Business with a strong technical background;
  • experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing engineering roles;
  • strong understanding of engineering products and solutions;
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • ability to translate technical specifications into commercial benefits for customers;
  • self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently;
  • willingness to travel (internationally) for customer meetings and industry events;
  • fluent in Dutch and/or English (written and spoken).
