As a Sales & Port Officer you handle requests from end customers (shipping companies, technical managers, and operators), trading partners, and sister companies. Due to your international character, you are capable to prioritize by time zone and expected lead time.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
- Handling global inquiries and providing after-sales assistance;
- cooperating and negotiating with both customers and suppliers on price, delivery, and conditions;
- coordinating delivery orders and support agents, distributors, and satellite offices;
- sharing stock information, local supply situations, and customer needs with the operations department.
Do you have:
- The ability to handle possible stress situations and work accurately at the same time;
- the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing (min. A2 level);
- living in the Netherlands with a BSN number;
- not afraid to be proactive and take tough decisions in order to make delivery within a given lead time;
- easily adjust to changing situations, and how support to colleagues, suppliers, and other third-party persons calling the office on a daily basis;
- the ability to understand nuances and cultural impacts on global trade;
- knowledge of the maritime industry and logistics with a minimum of 1-3 years experience;
- experience with MS Office is mandatory, and SAP software is an advantage;
- the ability to be creative, innovative and think out of the box;
- shipping mentality;
- improvisation skill.
What do we offer:
- Salary between € 2950,- and € 3400,- gross a month;
- working days from Monday to Friday and willing to work 1 week every 8 weeks in standby duty (after office hours + weekend);
