We are looking for someone who has experience working at sea (as a maritime officer) and is ready for a new job opportunity onshore! This job does not require a previous education, as you will learn everything on the job. Your work will include the supply and inspection of fire extinguishers, extinguishing systems and safety/rescue equipment on vessels in the ARA region. Your work takes place on board of the vessels once they are at port, occasionally at anchorage or at the workshop near Rotterdam.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
The following tasks may seem difficult or too technical to understand for you now, but keep in mind that you will be trained well and will learn all these things on the job easily:
- servicing fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing systems and fire alarm systems;
- carrying out inspections and maintenance of EEBDs, BA sets, inflatable lifejackets, immersion suits and more;
- hydrotesting and/or filling cylinders and other equipment in our workshop is also part of the job;
- completing the inspections by writing a service report and handing out an inspection certificate.
These tasks are all to be peformed according to factory prescription, manufacturer specifications and national and international legal provisions.
Do you have:
- experience as a maritime officer;
- excellent knowledge of the English language;
- technical insight;
- driving license B (E).
