As a service mechanic, you and your colleagues play an essential role in providing high-quality service to our customers, who are mainly located in the port of Rotterdam. You are responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various types of large rolling port equipment. With your technical skills and problem-solving ability you ensure that the machines are functioning at times.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
- performing preventive maintenance and repairs on container handling machines, forklifts, reach stackers etc.;
- reporting defects;
- Hydraulic operations such as repairing, replacing, dismantling and overhauling hydraulic cylinders, steering equipment and halyards;
- Locate and repair complex faults of a mechanical, electrical and hydraulic nature;
- registering the work performed and materials used on the tablet.
Do you have:
- interests in electrical engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics and willing to learn;
- discipline, flexibility and the ability to work independently;
- good communication skills and customer orientation;
- good command of the English language.
