As an Import Transport Coordinator, you are responsible for efficiently planning, monitoring, and optimizing inbound transport flows. You ensure smooth execution of intermodal shipments and act as a key link between customers, internal departments, and external partners.
The following tasks will be part of your job:
- Monitor cargo movements and proactively adjust schedules to prevent delays;
- plan and manage daily inbound transport activities, specifically for Tailwind intermodal shipments;
- participate in daily inbound planning meetings with the customer;
- attend weekly meetings with the customer to provide general updates and align on operations;
- collaborate closely with documentation and IT teams to ensure seamless information flow;
- monitor the progress of customs clearance and other required release processes;
- ensure timely and accurate updates to all relevant stakeholders;
- track and report transport KPIs and propose improvements to enhance delivery performance.
Do you have:
- MBO+/HBO level (or equivalent), preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain;
- proven experience in freight forwarding is mandatory;
- knowledge of import processes and customs procedures is big a plus;
- strong communication skills in English is mandatory;
- another language, like Turkish, Polish or German is a big plus;
- a customer-focused mindset;
- analytical and problem-solving skills;
- ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
- proactive and detail-oriented.
